A Harrow Drive, also know as a French Cut, Chinese Cut or Surrey Cut is a cricket shot that no-one really wants to play.
Welcome to Harrowdrive.com - a blog that shows you how to play better cricket.
My name is David Hinchliffe. Honours degree sport graduate, ECB Level 2 coach, fitness coach, club cricketer and contributor to several cricket blogs and sport newsletters. I have coached cricket to all ages and levels since 1993. I can advise on technique, fitness, nutrition, tactics and mental preparation for club players of any age.
I am currently an Area Manager for Darren Talbot Cricket Coaching.
Previously I have consulted with sides in the North Gear 2020 Premier League on tactics and fitness.
What can cricketers get from this site?
Harrowdrive is your free resource to improve your knowledge and performance in the game.
It doesn’t matter what level you play, how old you are or how much you play. There will be something you can use to improve.
The main focus is not on technical skills or commenting on top level cricket (there are other sites for that). Instead there is practical advice on ways to improve including:
- Cricket Fitness
- Sport Psychology
- Cricket Coaching
- Cricket Captaincy
- Cricket Tactics
- Tips and Advice
And anything else that comes along that is of interest in the world of cricket, although there is a slight bias towards UK club cricket.
If you would like to get involved or would like more information on Harrowdrive.com please contact me.
I hope you enjoy Harrowdrive (and through this site never find yourself playing one again).
